Research

Engaging in non-partisan and thoughtful research has been a cornerstone to the work at ACDIS. ACDIS pursues interdisciplinary research initiatives through developing grant proposals, collaborating with faculty and students, administering grant projects, and publishing reports. ACDIS invites faculty and students to submit research reports, occasional papers, policy briefs, and commentary posts to acdis@illinois.edu

Publications

ACDIS disseminates important research findings, briefings, and educational materials about security issues to the public through publications. ACDIS publications have affected national and international policies and decision-making on security issues. Visiting scholars and students may submit publications. Please see publications from previous research completed by ACDIS and ACDIS Faculty.

Occasional Papers

Occasional Papers often contain material that is of interest but not in a format suitable for submission in whole or part in a published journal or book format.

Policy Briefs

Policy Briefs are concise, informative pieces that analyze pressing security issues and offer policy implications and recommendations. Our policy briefs have been archived at Illini Security Briefings.

Commentaries

Commentaries are published weekly or monthly. For information on guidelines and deadlines reference Commentary Guidelines.
